About Barbara

Barbara Vance is an author and educator who has taught and consulted on storytelling and writing for over sixteen years both at tier-one universities and for her own company, Vance Studios. During that time she has helped thousands of writers craft stories for novels, screenplays, short pieces, and other creative forms. She holds a Ph.D., MA, and BA in literature and story. Poems from her award-winning poetry collection, ‘Suzie Bitner Was Afraid of the Drain’ are taught in classrooms around the world.
